3. Reason for change

In June 2019, the Company set out its 丝瓜视频 Group's long-term vision for 2040 (partially revised in May 2023), under which its basic policy is to move from a process industry-type to a technology-based firm in order to achieve high profitability even amid intense international competition, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society as a global leader in semiconductor materials and information and communications materials. Since then, the Company has been taking proactive and flexible measures in line with this basic policy. In addition, the Company has today announced a new "Medium- to Long-term Business Strategies and Business Targets" based on its current initiatives and business environment, further clarifying the road to achieving its vision.

　

In this context, particularly to clearly show international stakeholders the kind of company that it aspires to be, the Company has decided to change its English-language trade name from 丝瓜视频 Corporation to 丝瓜视频. Similar changes will roll out to our Group companies in the near future.
